Upper secondary programs, credits and grades, gathered around the student.
Vklass keeps courses and study plans together and catches absence before it becomes a pattern. During workplace-based learning, Vklass follows the student all the way to the workplace.
The whole education on one page
The study plan is fetched straight from the student registry and shows the student's program, scope, credits and awarded grades in a single view. Courses are grouped chronologically as ongoing, completed and upcoming, or by course type: foundation subjects, program-specific courses, individual options and the diploma project. The student, guardian, mentor and study and career counselor all see the same picture.
- Program, credits and a grade chart in one view
- Grouping by course type or chronologically
- Visible to the student, guardians and authorized staff
- Always mirrors the student registry
From course start to final grade, with Gy25 support
Every course has its own space with plans, assignments, tests, a criteria matrix and follow-up. During the course, progress is documented with reviews against goals achieved so far, including F warnings. When the course ends, grades are registered straight from the group page, on the grading scale defined by the course curriculum. Vklass supports Gy25 and subject grades.
- Progress reviews against goals achieved so far, with F warnings
- Grade registration per course or teaching group
- Assessment rubrics and summative follow-up
- Support for Gy25 and subject grades
Absence becomes visible before it becomes a problem
Teachers report attendance per lesson with late arrivals in minutes, and adult students can report their own absence where the school allows it. Absence alerts make monitoring automatic: when a student's unexcused absence passes the school's thresholds, an alert is created for the right people. Email notifications can also be sent using the school's own templates.
- Attendance reporting per lesson, straight from the timetable
- Self-service absence reporting for adult students
- Automatic absence alerts at the school's thresholds
- Statistics and a month view revealing patterns per student
The school's responsibility follows the student to the workplace
With the Vklass praktik extension, the school manages the whole workplace-based learning flow. The teacher creates placement periods with goals and assignments, and the student checks in at the workplace, sets work shifts and documents with photos and text. The supervisor confirms attendance and does not need an account in the school's other systems. Self-assessments provide ready material for the three-way review meeting.
- Placement periods connecting student, company and supervisor
- Attendance checked in by the student and confirmed by the supervisor
- Documentation and self-assessments linked to assignments
- A single teacher view of every student out on placement
