The compulsory school day, from roll call to appraisal meeting.
Vklass follows the whole chain: attendance in the lesson, planning against the curriculum, assessment of the work, and the progress review that meets the guardian in the meeting.
The whole class reported before the lesson gets going
Teachers report attendance straight from the timetable. Reported absences are pre-filled with a valid reason, late arrivals are noted in minutes, and all of today's lessons can be reported at once. For unexcused absence, guardians can be notified automatically by SMS or email. Under Follow-up, the month view shows patterns such as absence on the same weekday or in the same subject every week.
- Attendance reporting per lesson or for the whole day
- Automatic notifications to guardians on unexcused absence
- Attendance statistics per student, subject and group with a calendar view
- Absence alerts when unexcused absence passes the school's thresholds
Planning starts in the curriculum
Pedagogical plans are linked to aims, core content and criteria straight from the curriculum, shared between colleagues and targeted at groups or individual students. Assignments, tests and rubrics connect to the plan. Assessments against the criteria feed into the subject's overall criteria matrix, where the full picture builds up unit by unit.
- Curriculum links with aims, core content and criteria
- Plan templates and sharing within the school and municipality
- Assignments, tests, submissions and plagiarism checking
- Summative follow-up in the subject matrix
From review to meeting, with the history in place
Learning progress is documented continuously, so the material is ready for the appraisal meeting with the guardian.
Written progress reviews
A level and a comment per student on the compulsory school scale, publication on a chosen date, and history that is preserved when new reviews are created.
IUP
Individual development plans (IUP) are published, follow the student and are collected in the appraisal meeting together with the latest reviews and grades in the Results panel.
Appraisal meetings
The whole flow for mentor, student and guardian: bookable time slots, preparation questions before the meeting and published documentation afterwards.
Vklass carries on in after-school care when the school day ends
After-school care uses the same flows as preschool. Guardians set a care schedule with drop-off and pick-up times. Staff check students in and out in real time, including in kiosk mode on a tablet, and document the activities against the after-school care curriculum.
- Care schedule with a base schedule and one-off changes
- Check-in and check-out with a live attendance list
- Documentation linked to the after-school care curriculum
- Occupancy reports for planning the operation
Guardians see the child's week in the weekly report
The weekly report automatically sums up the child's week: attendance, assessments, news and what is coming up next week. Absence reporting, leave applications and messages to the school live in the app, with push notifications when something happens. Master data comes from the student registry via SS12000, the same standard the Swedish National Agency for Education uses parts of for the digital national tests.
- Automatic weekly report to every guardian
- Absence reporting and digital leave applications in the app
- News, calendar and messages with push notifications
- Digital consents and contact profiles for more adults
