The preschool day, from drop-off to pick-up.
Vklass keeps track of which children are present, which hours apply and what the children have learned today. Guardians follow along in the app.
The attendance list shows which children are here
Staff check children in and out directly in the attendance list, which updates in real time across departments and units. Absence reports and messages from guardians appear right in the list, so you can see which children to expect. With kiosk mode on a tablet by the entrance, check-in happens in the hallway, and the tablet shows no other content.
- Day view with live status for the whole department
- Week view with scheduled hours, absences and messages
- Kiosk mode for a shared tablet, for one child at a time or several at once
- History of actual check-in and check-out times
Hours that follow family life
Guardians set a rolling base schedule for drop-off and pick-up. It can span several weeks, for families working shifts. Guardians make one-off changes directly on individual days. The unit's opening hours set the boundaries, late changes can be restricted, and before holidays the preschool can ask families to confirm their holiday schedule.
- Rolling base schedule for one or more children
- One-off changes with a message to staff
- Holiday schedules confirmed by guardians
- Occupancy reports: scheduled hours versus actual presence
Make learning visible in the documentation
Documentation posts with photos, video and text are linked to the curriculum and collected in each child's portfolio.
Photos, video and text
Create documentation posts straight from the shortcut menu. Tag a department or individual children. The tag controls which guardians can see the post, and photo restrictions are shown right in the form.
Linked to the curriculum
Tick the points in the preschool curriculum the post relates to, connect it to plans, and use the unit's categories for systematic quality work.
Portfolio and statistics
Posts tagged to a child build the child's portfolio over time, and documentation statistics give leadership a basis at group and unit level.
Guardians get the information in the app and on the web
The department sends weekly information and news, adds outings and theme days to the calendar and keeps routines in document folders. Consents and direct messages are handled digitally. Guardians get everything on the web and as push notifications in the Vklass app, and they report absence straight from their phone.
- News and weekly information for the department
- Absence reporting and schedule messages in the app
- Digital consents, for example for photos
- More adults around the child can be added with consent
