Grades and judgements use valid official subjects

Vklass analys · v2026102501 · October 25, 2026

Grades and judgements use valid official subjects. Only locked, non-preliminary grades count. Languages can be grouped separately as Mother tongue, Modern languages M1 and Modern languages M2. SV and SVA remain separate by default, with an option to group them. Selections follow into Details and Excel.

The area map also shows areas from five students instead of ten

Vklass analys · v2026102001 · October 20, 2026

The area map also shows areas from five students instead of ten. Both maps let every postcode with at least five students be an area of its own, up to 80 areas. This makes the new postcode positions visible: more and smaller areas, placed where the students live. The measures per area are calculated as before.

Vklass analys · v2026101905 · October 19, 2026

The school choice flow map shows areas from five students instead of ten, since its areas only show how many students come from them. More small places appear. The area map, which shows measures per area, keeps the floor of ten students.

Vklass analys · v2026101904 · October 19, 2026

The maps place each postcode in the middle of its addresses in OpenStreetMap instead of at the postal town's center point. Postcodes in the same town land where they actually are, so the area map and the school choice flows show more, and more accurate, areas. The floor of at least ten students per area still applies.

School form in the filter bar

Vklass analys · v2026101903 · October 19, 2026

School form in the filter bar: choose preschool, after-school care, compulsory school, upper secondary school or adult education among the report's school forms. The choice applies to the report, split view, student lists, the export and the explorer's comparisons with the municipality and Vklass. A report about schools never shows preschools or after-school care, not even units chosen in another report.

Grades, Merit value, Eligibility and Grades against national tests show the latest grad…

Vklass analys · v2026101903 · October 19, 2026

Grades, Merit value, Eligibility and Grades against national tests show the latest graded term. Until December 10 for the autumn term and June 1 for the spring term they show the term before, and the page says why. Grade status always shows the current term.

Year groups on the grade reports

Vklass analys · v2026101903 · October 19, 2026

Year groups on the grade reports: preschool class and years 1–3 are never shown. Years 4 and 5 are shown only when a school in the municipality grades from year 4. Upper secondary years are called first, second and third year and are kept apart from compulsory school years in the filter bar.

The Excel export is saved only when the answer is an Excel file

Vklass analys · v2026101903 · October 19, 2026

The Excel export is saved only when the answer is an Excel file. If the export cannot be created the page says why instead of saving a file that cannot be opened, and the export buttons only show where the export is included.

The menu under Knowledge & results

Vklass analys · v2026101903 · October 19, 2026

The menu under Knowledge & results: Judgements and Missing judgements sit under the heading Judgements, Results follow-up under Follow-up and the screenings with Results & submissions under Screening & assignments.

The school choice flow map

Vklass analys · v2026101903 · October 19, 2026

The school choice flow map: the filter bar's lists open above the map, areas are merged much less, and clicking a school shows its flows and areas and dims the rest.

Vklass analys · v2026101902 · October 19, 2026

Results follow-up in Insikt and Pro combines custom absence periods and subject results per pupil, class development by gender and attendance against merit value. It also sets national exam parts against dated judgments in year 3, and local surveys against school results. Original values, dates and missing evidence remain visible. Save views in the browser and export the same selection.

F warnings and need for support are combined in the judgment distribution

Vklass analys · v2026101902 · October 19, 2026

F warnings and need for support are combined in the judgment distribution. The overview shows pupils with at least one risk judgment, their share among assessed pupils and pupils without assessment evidence.

Product switcher in the top bar

Vklass analys · v2026101901 · October 19, 2026

Product switcher in the top bar: the same switcher as in Vklass admin takes you on to Vklass, Vklass schema, Vklass praktik and Vklass admin. A service your organization has not enabled is shown as Not enabled, and Admin is shown to those who may administer. The role you are signed in as is now named in the user menu instead of the top bar.

Shows

Vklass analys · v2026101901 · October 19, 2026

Shows: the filter bar now also works while a report is played. School, period, year group, class and gender can be changed right in the show, and on the Ready-made reports page as well.

The knowledge base at kb-analys

Vklass analys · v2026101901 · October 19, 2026

The knowledge base at kb-analys.vklass.net has a training course of five lessons with films and practice questions. It also has a longer film about what Vklass Analytics is and how the roles in a municipality use it. In the app and on the sites it is now called the knowledge base, like Vklass's other knowledge bases.

Shows

Vklass analys · v2026100901 · October 9, 2026

Shows: a ready-made report can be played as an animated story of one to two minutes, with music and without a voice. The scenes are built on the same figures and rule-based conclusions as the PDF report and follow the organization's graphic profile. You see the students move between the levels from one term to the next, the term drawn month by month and the schools change place between the terms. You choose scenes, can run one scene at a time and can download the show as MP4. Open it with Play under Ready-made reports or on the report. The show of Absence is included in Bas, the others in Insight and Pro.

School in numbers (Insight and Pro)

Vklass analys · v2026100901 · October 9, 2026

School in numbers (Insight and Pro): a new page as the second row of the menu for the principal and the organization administrator. It takes grades, judgments, national exams and absence in one show, school form by school form, stage by stage and split into girls and boys.

Mentors get Ready-made reports for their mentor classes

Vklass analys · v2026100901 · October 9, 2026

Mentors get Ready-made reports for their mentor classes. The report carries the name of the class and counts the data registered on the class. The numbers in a class are small, and the report reminds you to share it with care. Teachers do not have Ready-made reports.

Unregistered lessons now follow teacher codes on the timetable entry

Vklass analys · v2026100801 · October 8, 2026

Unregistered lessons now follow teacher codes on the timetable entry. Without a specified teacher, the lesson counts for all teachers in the teaching group; school totals count it once. Cancelled lessons and who cancelled them are shown separately. Registration timing sorts the first attendance registration into time categories: around the lesson (10 minutes before start through 10 minutes after end), later the same day, the same week or after the lesson week, plus earlier registration. Later corrections do not change the timing and each lesson has equal weight. Missing creation times are shown separately.

Ready-made reports (Insight and Pro)

Vklass analys · v2026100701 · October 7, 2026

Ready-made reports (Insight and Pro): six reports with a cover, a fixed chapter order, charts and ready-made conclusions, ready to save as PDF. The Combined report includes grades, judgments, national tests and attendance where there is data and names the parts that lack it. The other reports are Absence, Grades and eligibility, Judgements, Early warning and interventions, and Student numbers. You find them under Quality & comparison › Quality work, for the schools and the period you have chosen in the filter bar. Every report about one area has the chapters summary, several terms, school by school, the area's own breakdown, year group and gender, movement between the terms and how we counted. The conclusions are rule-based, with no language model: the same data always gives the same text, and the five strongest become the most important points in the summary. The reports hold figures and charts but never student lists, and they never show an area whose own report is closed for your role or not part of the license. Early warning and interventions requires Early warning, which is included in Pro. Principals, student health, organization administrators and Administration (statistics) have the reports. The PDF is made with the browser's print: Print and then Save as PDF, with background graphics switched on. The report document itself is in Swedish, also when the interface is in English.

Graphic profile (Insight and Pro)

Vklass analys · v2026100701 · October 7, 2026

Graphic profile (Insight and Pro): under Settings › Graphic profile the organization administrator chooses sender, primary color, accent color and logo (PNG, JPEG or WebP, at most 512 kB). The profile is used on the cover and in the headings, tables and charts of Ready-made reports. The accent color must be dark enough to read on white paper. Without a stored profile the Vklass standard applies, and Restore Vklass standard removes the organization's own profile.

The student's school in Ready-made reports

Vklass analys · v2026100701 · October 7, 2026

The student's school in Ready-made reports: every student is counted on one school per term, the school of enrollment. A student is enrolled at the school where the student has both their study plan and an active link to the school. This is decided on the last day of the term (today for the term in progress). Courses a student takes at another school are counted on the school of enrollment. A student who left before the last day of the term is counted on the school where the student had their study plan during the term. A student without a study plan is counted on the school with the longest placement in the term. Shares are not printed for groups with fewer than 10 students, and a change below 0.5 percentage points counts as unchanged. The term is compared with the same term the year before when there is data, otherwise with the term before. In Vklass Analytics, the interactive reports count as before on the school that holds the lesson or sets the grade. The knowledge base has a new chapter and a new article on Ready-made reports, and the help panel follows along.

Roles

Vklass analys · v2026100101 · October 1, 2026

Roles: permissions decide the student level. The principal and student health see their school, the mentor their mentor students and the teacher their teaching groups at student level. A teacher who is also a mentor sees both. Two new roles are assigned in Vklass Analytics under Settings › Assigned roles. Administration (statistics) sees every school aggregated without student level, and High absence team sees absence at student level in every school and nothing else.

Roles and reports

Vklass analys · v2026100101 · October 1, 2026

Roles and reports: in Insight and Pro the organization administrator sets what every role sees per report (Student level, Aggregated or Off), starting from the Vklass defaults. Levels can be lowered and what is off by default switched on; locked reports cannot be unlocked. Every change is logged.

The filter bar is the same in every report and on the start page

Vklass analys · v2026100101 · October 1, 2026

The filter bar is the same in every report and on the start page. The period has quick picks for school year, term and month plus a custom date range. Multi-select covers school, year group, class, teaching group, subject and gender, with the number of students per option. The selection is shown as chips, follows you between reports, on reload and into split view, and filters a report cannot apply are grayed out with an explanation.

The students behind the figure

Vklass analys · v2026100101 · October 1, 2026

The students behind the figure: the KPI cards, most bars and cells in the charts and the table rows open a side panel with the students behind the figure. This applies in Absence & attendance, Early warning, Judgements, Grades and Support measures & action programmes. The panel shows exactly as many students as the figure says, within your permissions. It has breadcrumbs school › year group › class, column choice per measure, sorting and 50 students per page with Show all, and a click on a student opens the Student journey. Names are shown within your permissions once the organization has passed the data protection gate. Every list has the Hide names button, and the school authority's default is under Roles and reports › Display and export. Until then the analysis key is shown. Every opened list and every time names are shown is logged. Export to Excel gives the list as .xlsx with the sheet Urval, and the school authority can switch off the student list export per role. Roles at aggregated level see no student lists.

Split view shares the scale between panes by default

Vklass analys · v2026100101 · October 1, 2026

Split view shares the scale between panes by default: the same chart gets the same axis in every pane, with round scale steps, and the Shared scale chip shows when it applies. Every report in the pane's list can be shown.

Vklass analys · v2026100101 · October 1, 2026

Absence & attendance shows absence in hours beside the percentages, the number of students below 90% attendance and the attendance rate in the bands 90–100, 80–89, 70–79 and below 70%. The report also shows absence per absence type, per lesson block and per teacher with registration rate. Schedule patterns shows the pattern per teacher and per room.

Early warning is rebuilt

Vklass analys · v2026100101 · October 1, 2026

Early warning is rebuilt. Improved is counted only among students who were at Follow up or Take note the period before and are still at the school. What counts as improved follows the school's definition in School configuration › Early warning: at least a number of percentage points lower, one level lower or below the thresholds two periods in a row. The Improved means selector shows the same students under another definition. Students who left the school stand in a category of their own with its own KPI, and a school year can be chosen as the period. The table Students with a signal shows class, year group, mentor, total, invalid and valid absence, late arrivals, trend, level and absence alert. You can sort on every column, filter on level, lowest invalid absence and improvement definition, and search on name, class or mentor. The list shows 50 students per page with no cap. Explore is always available in the report.

From signal to action (Insight and Pro)

Vklass analys · v2026100101 · October 1, 2026

From signal to action (Insight and Pro): the Education Act's flow for absence (chapter 7, section 19 a) as a process with the steps threshold reached, signal, decision, investigation, report, action and evaluation. It shows the number of students per step, the drop between the steps, the KPI Students above the threshold without a decision and a student list per step within your permissions. In Vklass the mentor sends Signal to the principal from the student's attendance statistics with level, period and an automatic absence summary. The principal registers the decision to investigate or not, the report to the school authority and the closure under Follow-up › Absence cases. The function is switched on per organization.

How this page works

The page takes its content from the release notes

The cards above are pulled automatically from the product release notes, the same source that users see inside the products. Nobody has to remember to update the page.

Why we do it this way

Schools deserve to know what is happening with the tools they use, without having to ask. When a new version of Vklass, Vklass schema or Vklass analys ships, the release notes are published as part of the delivery itself. This page reads the same source, so the list is always complete and current.

The same principle applies to all our documentation: the help content is generated from the product's actual source code and updated when the product changes. That is why what you read matches what you see on screen.
