Adult education: students who are their own guardians.
Vklass is built for people studying in the middle of life. They report their own absence, follow their own results and take courses in groups that never stop changing.
Groups that keep up when students come and go
In adult education, no course group looks the same two months in a row. Group membership is synchronized from the student registry, so lists stay correct as students enroll and leave during an ongoing course. Every course has its own space with plans, assignments, materials and follow-up. Completed courses are preserved under Previous courses with the results intact.
- Course groups synchronized from the student registry
- A dedicated course space with plans, assignments and materials
- Completed courses preserved with their results
- Everything available on the web and in the app
Where the course stands, while there is still time to change it
During the course, teachers document progress with reviews against the goals-achieved-so-far scale, including an F warning when needed. Students see their published reviews and assessments directly in their results. When the course ends, the grade is registered from the group page on the grading scale defined by the course curriculum.
- Progress reviews against goals achieved so far, with F warnings
- Publication on a date the teacher chooses
- Grade registration per course or teaching group
- Students follow their own results and assessments
Adult students manage their own absence and leave
Adult students report their own absence (a full day, several days or part of a day) and can apply for leave digitally where the school has enabled it. The report is immediately visible to teachers, and students follow their own attendance in the absence report. Permissions follow along: at 18, guardians are disconnected automatically, and the student decides whether anyone keeps access.
- Absence reporting directly on the web or in the app
- Digital leave applications where the school enables them
- A personal absence report with registered attendance
- Automatic permission handling at the age of majority
Vocational education also happens in workplaces
With the Vklass praktik extension, adult education manages workplace-based learning and higher vocational placements in the same flow as the rest of the school day. Placement periods have goals, assignments and work shifts. The student checks in attendance, the supervisor confirms it and the documentation feeds the follow-up.
- Placement periods for adult education and higher vocational placements
- Attendance confirmed by the workplace supervisor
- Documentation and self-assessments during the placement
- Supervisors take part without an account in the school's other systems
