The schedule is a puzzle.
Let the engine solve it.
Vklass schema generates the whole school's schedule automatically and explains every decision. You see where the schedule hurts, what can move and what it costs before you release the mouse button. The product site goes further, with the film, the features and the integrations.
Built for the person who makes the schedule
The engine does the heavy lifting. The tools help you see, understand and improve the result, so you do not have to guess.
The load view
A heatmap shows where in the week the schedule hurts: gaps, heavy blocks, early and late times and squeezed lunches per class, teacher, room or student. Cells explain themselves when you click them and update live as lessons move.
The student's day
A ranked list shows the school's most burdened students, with the median student as reference. Gaps, squeezed lunches and tight building changes are visible at once, and shared patterns show where one action reaches several students.
The Why mode
The engine is not a black box. Click a lesson and a time, and the engine explains hard stops with the cause chain, soft costs, the nearest possible alternatives and the log of every rule it tried.
The swap planner
The engine searches for verified chains of moves to get a lesson where you want it. Every chain is priced honestly by number of moves, people affected, gap-time delta and plain-language warnings, and the chain is executed and undone as one unit.
The school year view
The whole year fits on one screen: holidays, staff days, exam and work placement weeks and deviation weeks, with their consequence and accumulated teaching-time fulfillment. Click a week to open it in the calendar.
Working-time terms built in
Agreement templates for the Swedish collective agreements fill in annual working time per teacher. The error check automatically watches the Working Hours Act and the Education Act's teaching caps from the 2027/2028 school year.
The school-year puzzle adds up, and you see why
All generation runs through the engine, and schedule quality is measured with the Schedule score. When the schedule does not add up, the problem is reduced to knots: minimal constraint sets where the chain reads like a sentence and the solutions are ranked by cost. During a drag, the simulation shadow shows where the lesson can land, with time and cause, before you release. Colleagues working in the same schedule are visible in real time, with their selected lessons and ongoing moves.
- Block choices for upper secondary school: students' ranked course choices are packed into blocks with choice fulfillment as the headline measure
- Scheduling without students: the engine reserves space from a planned student count
- Cross-school conflict protection for teachers with lessons at several schools
- Exchange with school administrative systems, plus an SS 12000 API and iCal export
